Student did a great job of presenting their ideas. Their ideas align with GB goals and SIT goals. Here is a summary:

CULTURE

• Expose students to outside world & culture (city, museums, volunteer at soup kitchens)

FUTURE ORIENTED LEARNING

• Students on the committee
• Relate learning to jobs and the future
• Have speakers come in to talk about jobs (Job Fair?) Starting earlier to prep for careers/college was also expressed as important.
• Give opportunities to shadow people in the career setting
• Present to the school in the beginning
• Required volunteer work – volunteer hours required for graduation
• Senior service project
• ACE – give a need and have ACERS fill need, pitch and design it.

CREATIVITY

• Personalizing school with student art, murals, pictures
